Rate Update - August

Here’s a look at the yearly average interest rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages for the past 10 years. At the time of this writing, the highest rate so far this year was 4.2 (in March), and the lowest was 3.9 (in June). The average for 2017 is 4.08, which is higher than the annual average for 2016, but still historically low.
